Chief of staff is the agent that plans the week on board. It builds the route port by port with the distance by sea, and keeps the captain’s notes apart from what the client sees.
Step by step
- It starts from the charter’s dates and base.
- You type the stops; it draws the route on the chart with the miles by sea between each.
- Each day carries notes: one for the client, one for the captain, one kept private.
- The itinerary becomes a page the client opens, without the captain’s notes.
What it never does
Its routes are a plan, not for navigation: the captain has the final say.
